Wednesdays just got WILD! Every Wednesday in July, the Erie Zoo extends its hours to 8 pm for our members and visitors to enjoy an evening full of entertainment, late access to the zoo, and Erie Zoo Members get extra discounts. To kick off the first Wild Wednesday on Wednesday, July 1, your Erie Zoo will be celebrating America250 with our Founding Feathers and Furs. Each Wednesday, guests can learn more about native animals and their roles in the founding of our country through animal meet-and-greets and keeper talks. Joining in the fun on July 1, the Erie Philharmonic and the ExpERIEnce Children's Museum will also be offering interactive activities on zoo grounds for guests.

New this year thanks to the support of our sponsors: ECGRA, Bar Ronin, Lucero, The Sweet Vault, & PSN Labs we are excited to offer movies on the front lawn at each of our Wild Wednesdays from 5-8pm, weather permitting. 

Wild Wednesday Schedule of Events:

July 1 5pm-8pm : Founding Feathers & Furs

• Erie Philharmonic Instrument Petting Zoo in the Adventure Center
• ExpERIEnce Children's Museum traveling exhibit in the Adventure Center
• Free Patriotic sand art, buttons, temporary tattoos while supplies last for all guests
• Free Carousel rides for Erie Zoo Members
• Showing of Chicken Little on the front lawn, Weather Permitting

July 8 5-8pm :

• Showing of The Bee Movie on the front lawn, Weather Permitting
• Free bag of popcorn or popsicle for Erie Zoo Members; while supplies last

July 15 5-8pm:

• Showing of Wall-E on the front lawn, Weather Permitting
• Free Gardening giveaway for Erie Zoo Members; while supplies last

July 22 5-8pm:

• Showing of the Lorax on the front lawn, Weather Permitting
• Free Conservation Craft for Erie Zoo Members; while supplies last

July 29 5-8pm:

• Showing of Sing on the front lawn, Weather Permitting
• Free Train Ride for Erie Zoo Members
