Want to help the Zoo transform into a Winter Wonderland? Sign up to participate in our Wild Winter Snowflake Contest! Get creative and put your personal spin on a snowflake- whether it's sparkling, colorful, or intricately patterned, we want to see your imagination shine. This contest is open to individuals, families, schools, and businesses (everybody)!
Every snowflake you create adds a unique touch to our festive decore, making this winter season even more special. Plus, you'll have a chance to showcase your artistty to fellow zoo-goers! The three top best snowflakes will win exciting prizes!
Please read the guidelines below carefully and apply at the bottom of the page.
- 1.Snowflakes must be at least 3ft w by 3ft h
- Snowflakes may be made out of any appropriate materials, but must be able to withstand the weather. You must provide all materials for the display, please no perishable materials or anything electric.
- You must provide your own stake or stand to keep your snowflake upright.
- Snowflakes must be dropped off at the Erie Zoo Office December 2- 10 between 8am-4pm (weekdays only)
- If you would like your snowflake back, please indicate by checking the box on the application and picking it up on December 16-18 between 10am-4pm. Please note, we are not responsible for any damages that may happen during the event. Any snowflake left will be used or disposed by the Zoo at our discretion.
- The Zoo reserves the right to eliminate or alter any inappropriate entries. Please remember this is a kid-friendly event so no violent, scary, profanities, or political affiliations will be allowed.
- Participants are welcomes to supply a sign identifying their organization or group. Signs can be no larger than 2ft W x 1ft H. All signs must be weather proof.
- The deadline for entering the contest is December 2nd by 5pm.You may apply online, via email to hhartley@eriezoo.org or by dropping off the form at the Erie Zoo Office Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
