Joe Orangutan Update #2
Joe the orangutan’s condition continues to hold stable. He is eating small amounts and cooperating well with the veterinary and animal care staff as we monitor and treat his symptoms. Our team is performing regular evaluations while we work with a team of orangutan specialists to schedule the next steps in the diagnostic process. Dasa and Otis remain healthy and comfortable behind the scenes with Joe.
Don’t forget to stop by the orangutan viewing area on your visit this weekend to make a “Get Well Soon” card for Joe! His keepers are periodically giving him some as enrichment each day and he is loving it! Your Erie Zoo is open daily from 10am – 5pm (last admission 4:15pm).
