Orangutans are endangered and there are less than 100,000 Bornean, about 13,000 Sumatran, and no more than 800 Tapanuli left in the wild. Their biggest threat is NON-sustainable palm oil farming. This could cause the extinction of orangutans in the wild in the very near future without your help.

Erie Zoo Welcomes Knoxville Zoo Red Panda Cub
On September 17th “Joe” joined the Erie Zoo family and became “Neo’s” new companion. Research shows that red panda cubs do best when raised together so this match was a great opportunity for continued healthy development for the two males.
