Remote Learning Day Camp

The Erie Zoo is offering up something wildly different this school year~ 15 campers a day can join us for a wild adventure in remote learning. We will provide animal themed activities and walks around your child's remote learning schedule. All remote learning is through your child's school district. Campers will need to bring their own lunch. We will provide a snack and water bottle.    We will email you a separate form to fill out for your child's specific school information.

Now accepting ZooBOO 2020 volunteer applications! If you are interested in helping us with one of the biggest Halloween events in the region please apply today! Must be 14 years or older to

We would like to take a moment to give a BIG thank you to all the GalpaZOOza 2020 sponsors and ticket holders who generously donated their funding back to the Zoo after we had to make the difficult decision to cancel GalapaZOOza 2020 due to COVID-19. All funds supported the Erie Zoo’s Emergency Fund and continued recovery from the COVID-19 impact.

Despite the struggles the Erie Zoo has faced as a consequence of Covid-19, it is still our mission to better the world through conservation of endangered species.  All proceeds from this raffle will be divided equally and support SANCCOB (African Black-Footed Penguins) and the Lion Recovery Fund (African lions) conservation efforts. Statement Addressing Orangutan Incident

We appreciate all the thoughts and concerns regarding the incident at the zoo last evening. As of right now, we are respecting the privacy of our staff. We can assure you that “Dasa” the orangutan was contained the entire time and was never out of her exhibit. Additionally, the keeper was at no time ever inside the exhibit with the orangutan. There will be no actions taken against “Dasa” the orangutan, and we hope for full recovery of our keeper. The situation is being fully investigated.
